Margaux and her shoes. . .

Margaux was tired of unsolicited advice regarding her choice in footwear.

I know lots of girls that are "shoe people" - I am not one of those people.  My mom is pretty firmly in the "shoe people" camp.  She likes it there.  I have several pairs of black shoes - I usually wear some black every single day - that way I have shoes for all occasions without having to think too much about it.
This girl looked très French to me and was envisioned with pointy black shoes with high heels.  I have pointy black shoes too but with kitten heels - I don't wear high heels any more - I am a disappointment to my "shoe people" friends and family. . .
Are you one of the "shoe people"?

Oh! she's in a shoe dilemma..but Margaux should do what her heart tells her! I am flat footwear person, personally. The girl in your painting looks like she will listen to her heart!

I'm with you on the flat shoes! high heels can seriously mess up your feet, even though they can look amazing on! I love your painting, she looks like she will make the best decision for her feet!

I can never wrap my mind around wearing uncomfortable shoes. Love her eyes!

Margaux does indeed look like a shoe-person ... ;-) Love her! I only like comfortable shoes. I have some high heels, but hardly ever wear them ...

Margaux looks a very classy lady, and I don't blame her for being irritated by people who tell her what shoes she should wear. I used to wear 4" heels, but these days it's hard enough not to fall off flat shoes, so they are sadly long-gone history.
I love the painting of the face, and particularly her hair.

Not only am I not a shoe person, I am not a clothes person. I have my uniforms. I love your ladies Michelle and I love to hear what they have to say - Margaux might be a shoe lady but she looks a little on the wise side to me - yes rather French. Probably never goes anywhere without her pearls. Love your blog!!

Love you painting, she does have a french look about her....perhaps at the beach in the 1940's.

Margaux is definitely French so I'm sure she's both wise and stylish about what she wears.

I used to wear high heels but no more. I go for comfort now plus I'd most likely fall off the heels they wear these days!

No way to high heals... Never liked them, even when I was young. Hurt your feet! Comfort is a lot less painful!
Loving your faces- I see a style developing... Very cool to watch you find it!

I like this girl -- she is classy and opinionated.

We've had a terrible shoe week here!

Margaux is lovely. I really like how you created her lips. Like that slight shine to make them luxurious. :)

This girl DOES look très à la française!! ;-) She's beautiful Michelle. Your women all have a certain something about them that makes them all individual. That's not always easy to do with portraits like this. i always love visiting here. Gorgeous work. xox

Are you kidding? In winter, I wear Birkenstocks with fleece socks unless it's wet outside because they are the most comfortable shoes known to humankind. Last fall, I finally bought a new pair...after wearing the old ones for 17 years.

For summer, I just ordered two more pair of Teva Tirras--in black and aqua blue--because my hot pink ones are so comfortable and are helping my plantar fasciitis so much. I wore the black ones to church today...and no one said a word (to my face).

Margaux, however, is entitled to be a shoe person. In fact, I doubt she would be so gauche as to wear socks and Birkenstocks. Ever. ;)

Another beautiful lady! Great lips and eyes. Its funny, I went shoe shopping recently, and all I bought was black shoes. I am all about comfort, and whats easy. Rarely do I wear heels, as they hurt my feet...Yet, I have a closet full of sit down shoes! LOL
